Kids in Need of Defense's (KIND) signature event, attended by over 400 prominent corporate, legal, philanthropic, and government leaders, will highlight the invaluable contributions of their partners. It will also elevate the voices of the children they serve and bring awareness to their collective promise to protecting children, wherever they are, on their path to safety. They will honor this year’s Allegiance Award winners: Reed Smith LLP and Sidley Austin LLP, along with the Innovation Award winners: Intel Corporation and Pfizer, Inc.

Rising for Justice’s Celebration of Service honors individuals and organizations that most embody Rising for Justice’s commitment to protecting the rights and dignity of people. The Celebration of Service raises critical funds needed to support our multifaceted programs that build equity and justice for all people in Washington, DC. The 2024 honoree is Karyn A. The Frederick Douglass Awards Dinner is SCHR’s flagship gala to recognize and celebrate those who demonstrate exceptional courage and tenacity in defending human rights and equal justice.
